Ahhh,yes Pride...Pride is a universal thing huh? I guess most of us have experience it before,that feeling you get,(I'm not specifically referring to someone ah) xD, but generally,the feeling like,i'm taller than you,i can play basketball better than you,i can play guitar better than you,i am more good looking than you and esatra estra...Yup...
You know,the thing is sometimes we just allow ourselves to think just that...To think how great we are,and that there is no one better than us...Pride huh? Moreover,pride is the thing that allows us to look down on others...Kinda bad huh? But true...
Many times we,especially me allow ourselves to think how great we are...Only looking to what is in front of us however oblivious to looking over the horizon...Yup,its a thing that many of us deny but in fact its true...
You know,sometimes we just need to be humiliated,embarrassed or humbled once awhile...Why? So that we can slap ourselves to wake up,and just really examine and question ourselves...Have i been proud?
God can use even the most simplest of ways to humble us...And God did that on me...Realize,how easy it is for us to think greatly of ourselves...We may tell our juniors many times,Do Not Be Proud,Must Always be Humble...But the question lies in us ourselves,the Seniors or Leaders,am i not the same? Its a deep question,but i think its a question worth asking ourselves...
There this saying,it goes like this,
Never be too Proud of who you are or what you are...Because in the end of every game of chess,even the Kings and Soldiers goes into the same Box...
For me,this saying hits home and makes me think too...
Yup,indeed pride is something we can so easily fall into and even not realize about it...Guess its something i have to take care of even more...
